Jeff Jarrett Taking Indefinite Leave of Absence From GFW

September 5, 2017 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

– Global Force Wrestling has announced that Jeff Jarrett is taking an indefinite leave of absence to “focus on personal matters.” GFW released a statement after The Fight Network’s John Pollock broke the news on Twitter. Fight Network is owned by Anthem Media, who are the parent owners of Global Force Wrestling. Jarrett serves as Chief Creative Officer of GFW.

The statement by the company reads, “Effective immediately, Jeff Jarrett is taking an indefinite leave of absence from his position as Chief Creative Officer to focus on personal matters. Jeff will be available on a consultative basis as needed.”

According to PWInsider, the decision was made for Jarrett to take time off a few hours before the announcement was issued. Jarrett was set to likely face Alberto El Patron at Bound For Glory in November, but that may no longer be the case. As of now, it has not been determined who will take over Jarrett’s role.

The site also pointed out that Jarrett seemed to be good to go this morning, as noted in the below tweet. It isn’t known what happened between then and now to change things.
