John Cena Donates $500,000 to California Fire First Responders
– Playing With Fire star John Cena has just made an incredibly generous donation to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the California Fire Foundation in the amount of $500,000. Initially, John Cena asked in video he shared on Twitter for Paramount Pictures to pick a charity related to first responders, and he would donate $500,000.
Cena made the donation offer in celebration of First Responder’s Day (Oct. 28). After Paramount picked the aforementioned two organizations, Cena responded, “Two incredible choices. @LAFDFoundation and @CAFireFound … on behalf of Paramount and the cast of #PlayingWithFireMovie, a total of $500K is coming your way. Thank you for what you do. Help is on the way!!!”
Cena portrays a firefighter in the upcoming film, Playing With Fire, which arrives in theaters on Nov. 8.

Thank you @JohnCena for your generosity & dedication to our first responders. We've chosen two charities to share your donation: @CAFireFound & the @LAFDFoundation, which provide essential services to the dedicated firefighters who are working tirelessly to keep us safe. https://t.co/E5qljbQy0p
