SICKOS! It’s Wednesday, you know what that means! AEW Dynamite is LIVE tonight from Fishers, Indiana (Don’t look it up, it does exist, just like Narnia), and the Continental Classic will roll on, along with other AEW upfront stories and activities.

Three Continental Classic matches are scheduled for tonight, with two in the Gold League, and one in the Blue League. In the Gold League, two men who won their first matches in the C2, Kyle Fletcher (who defeated Kazuchika Okada) and Kevin Knight (who upset Darby Allin), will face off to see who can stay undefeated, while Okada will be searching for his first win against PAC, who was victorious this past week over Speedball Mike Bailey. In the Blue League, The Death Riders will explode, as Jon Moxley, fresh off an opening win over Mascara Dorada, will face Claudio Castagnoli, coming off a win over Orange Cassidy.

As it pertains to non-C2 related events, the Women’s Tag Team Title Tourney will see the conclusion of their semifinals round, as The Timeless Love Bombs (Mina Shirakawa and TIMELESS Toni Storm) will face Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir and, by proxy of winning the 4-team match at Full Gear, Mina and Toni have chosen the match stipulation to be a Hardcore Holiday Deathmatch. The winners of this match will move on to face The Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale) in the finals at a time and date to be determined.

Ahead of next week’s AEW World Heavyweight Title match at Winter is Coming, Champion Samoa Joe and challenger Eddie Kingston will come face-to-face in the ring. All of this and, of course, so much more in store for us tonight!

So, how are the Sickos doing tonight? I am going to do a balancing act tonight, with Dynamite on my TV, and a split screen on the computer with both my live review and the Flyers-Sabres game at the same time. Nothing lost, nothing gained by not being able to multitask!

Anyway, it’s time for us to light the Dynamite and watch/hear it go BOOM!

BOOM

Tonight, AEW Dynamite is LIVE from Fishers, Indiana, as the road towards World’s End continues! Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Bryan Danielson will be on the call tonight!

Speaking of Tony, he’s standing in the middle of the ring as the pyro lights up the night!

Fans here in Indiana! We have a face-to-face so volatile that everyone is banned from ring side! Next week is the AEW World Title Match at Winter is Coming, and here is the Champion, Samoa Joe!

SAMOOOOOOOOOA Joe is here with both of his title belts.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, the challenger for Winter is Coming, Eddie Kingston.

The World is cold, and we should bundle up, obviously. Mad King is walking out with a purpose.

I think Tony should just leave the ring.

Yep, as if on cue, Joe tells him to leave before he snatches that ugly wig off his head. LMAO!

Excuse Joe, because it seems like we have some situations to address. He bets Edde is filled with questions that needed answered. He has the answers. He tells Eddie that he isn’t in his tuxedo because when he heard he was coming to Indiana, he decided that it wasn’t worth it. The Penguins appreciate it, but not these animals.

The second question is why Hook, and why Eddie? Hook grew up around champions and is mentored by the best champion in the world. He wanted Hook to learn what it was like in the other side. Eating with the second-rate people and slumming it with the third-rate people. And that is, you Eddie. Someone who has bever gotten the job done, someone who screams about their potential, but never has fulfilled it.

He will answer Eddie’s third question. Next week, you will fight your ass off, you will do everything that you can to win the greatest prize in professional wrestling, But, Eddie, you aren’t going to cross the finish line, just like every other time. But know that it isn’t because of what you did, it will be because I choked you out.

Eddie doesn’t get how a man like Joe, who saved the Indy’s, a man who went to war with his mentor, Homicide, is talking about jets. He sold his soul out heart. Hook learned perseverance from Eddie, he learned determination. Eddie says he screams because he gets shit done when he does. He doesn’t know this Joe, and he doesn’t respect them. The Joe he respects, he ran through everyone and showed the world what it means to be a champion. But now, what is this? Jumping people from behind, using Hook and getting into his head. You’re doing the same thing that you used to hate about the old school people. Eddie is going to end this really quick; he wants to go back to the hotel and go back to bed. If you don’t bring the ROH Champion, if you don’t bring the Samoan Submission Machine, if you don’t bring the Joe who beat up my mentor for years, I will eat you alive on the 10th.

Woof, good shit there, PAL!

Excalibur runs down the matches for tonight and gives us a reminder of the standings in the C2.

The Opps are in the back. Joe took care of business tonight, says Hook, and he will finish off Eddie next week.

Hobbs says everyone is gunning for the Trios Titles, and he is willing to spread some Christmas Cheer. He issues a challenge to the Dark Order of all teams, for tonight. if they can get past them, then they will earn a title shot.

Hook says everyone knows that Hangman is friends with the Dark Order. Shibata speaks, but not with the Speak and Spell, so no one cares. Hook says Shibata is a killer.

OUT OF MY HEAD, YOU’RE OUT OF TIME!

THOUGHTS: The match you expected between two amazing wrestlers, and it delivered across the board. This one could have went either way, but Okada was able to outsmart PAC in the end.
RATING: ****

Mark Briscoe is here to serenade us with some talky talk! He says he has faced Daniel Garcia twice. He won one, Danny won one. But the thing he took away from it is that Garcia is for real. Now, one year late, and how things have changed. Mark is afraid that Garcia is going to full down a death spiral with the Death Riders. You keep playing mind games like Moxley does. Briscoe doesn’t play mind games, or any games. He went to Tony Khan and said let’s make the match. TK says he has the perfect time and place, in Cardiff, Wales. It will be international ass whooping!

It’s the Demand! Ricky has said that over the past week, he has had to keep his phone on do not disturb because he is bonking Sam being called to save promotions and put them on his back. He is into charity, and he is making his first appearance in Ring of Honor, when he defends his National title against Dalton Castle, a former ROH Champion. Since Columbus is a miserable place, he will stick around and give out another shot to another charity case. AHH-HAAAAAAAAAA!

Knight and Fletcher is up next after the break!

Mark Briscoe is doing double duty tonight, as Renee has The Conglomeration (And Roddy Strong) in the back. Mark says things have not gone well for them as of late, so the word of the day is Domination! Roddy says he is NOT a member of the Conglomeration, and he is going to kick OC’s ass. Cassidy says no chops in their match, and Roddy is like screw that, I am going to break your back.

Suspense!

Fletcher re-enters the ring and kicks Knight in the gut. He sends off Knight, but Kevin avoids him and goes out to the apron. He tries to come back in, but a forearm from Fletcher stops that and sends him to the floor. Fletcher tries something, but Knight gets out of it and gets onto the apron. Springboard Tope from Knight sends us to the break!

THIS IS AWESOME chants, as Knight brings the offense to Fletcher. He throws Fletcher from corner to corner and hits some clotheslines. He sends off Fletcher and hits another clothesline. Fletcher falls victim to a snap Rana and a pendulum DDT for a two.

Excalibur takes the time to run down the Final Battle Card for Ring of Honor this Friday (which I will be covering), as Fletcher uses Knight’s momentum against him, as he throws him face-first into the corner. Big running boot from Fletcher, brain buster is avoided by Knight. Kevin ends up on the apron, Fletcher off the ropes, and he runs right into a springboard clothesline for a two.

Both men are on the apron. Knight with a chop to Fletcher followed by an apron DDT! Knight returns Fletcher to the ring, he heads to the top, but Fletcher shakes the ropes to crotch Knight. Fletcher argues with the ref and gets rolled up for a two. Fletcher kicks Knight in the face, corner clothesline, sheer drop brain buster! The cover, and Fletcher earns three more points!
WINNER: Kyle Fletcher (2-0-0, 6 points)
TIME: 13:05
THOUGHTS: Another fantastic match between two of the future superstars of AEW. Chaotic and fun ending made this match even better.
RATING: ****1/4

Post-match, Don Callis has something he wants to say, and it is in regard to the Young Bucks. He wants Kyle to talk, but Kyle says he doesn’t feel that great. Josh Alexander and Hechicero are here with duffel bags. The promo continues, even though we head to commercial break. That’s a choice lol.

And Don Callis is still talking as we return from break lol. He wants to discuss what happened last week with the Young Bucks. He can forgive a lot. You can lie to me; I can forgive that. You can cheat me; I can forgive that. You can kill someone; I have forgiven that before. But the unforgivable sin is siding with Kenny Omega. So, Bucks, I have your money. And I know that Kenny is not going to finace you. So, if you don’t like it, for the first time in your godforsaken lives, let your nuts drop, and come out and be men about it.

The Bucks have arrived, ready to fight! They Superkick Fletcher, and Superkick Alexander and Hechicero from the ring! EVP Trigger to Fletcher! They have the bag, but here is Okada! Rainmaker to Matt Jackson! Nick Jackson is like WTF, and he gets jumped by the DCF members. Jurassic Express are here, as they clean house of the DCF. Okada and Luchasaurus are left in the ring. Okada kicks him in the dick and flips off Perry, so Jack bites his finger lol.

Mark Davis and El Clon are here now, as they attack Perry and his dinosaur. They hold the Bucks in place so Callis can land some cheap shots. Kenny BY GAWD Omega is here! He hits a V-Trigger on Davis. Okada from behind, but Omega reverses and hits a snap German! Omega looking for the V-Trigger on Okada, but he gets pulled to safety by the DCF.

The Semifinals in the Women’s Tag Team Title tourney is up next! But before we get there, we get a video package for the Babes of Wrath. Hey, vintage Dark footage of Harley’s second ever match, and it was against Willow! Nice! Who are they? BABES! What do they have? WRATH! This team is so much fun, and if they do end up winning the tag team titles, I would not be upset in the slightest.

However…

AEW Women’s Tag Team Title Tourney Semifinal – Hardcore Holiday Deathmatch: Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne vs. The Timeless Love Bombs (Mira Shirakawa and TIMELESS Toni Storm)

The bell rings, and the battle has begun. When it looks like Megan and Marina have the upper hand, Mina and Toni hit double Thesz Presses! The battle spills out to the floor, as Storm and Shirakawa hit stereo DDTs. Storm smashes a Champaign bottle over the head of Marina and uses a broken piece to cut Megan’s forehead. Mina has a candy cane, and she hits Megan in the stomach with it.

Back in the ring, she wraps it around the face of Bayne, and we see it is actually a barbwire candy cane lol. Storm drops Mina on top of Bayne, as we see Marina at the top of the ramp, busted open. Toni and Mina try to double suplex Bayne, but she reverses and hits both of them with a suplex. Shafir returns, as she does a 619 variation and drops Storm to the floor. Bayne press slams Mina out of the ring and down onto Toni as we hit the break.

Bayne with a chair shot to the back of Storm, Shafir with a shot from the frying pan. They got to do a pan-to-chair shot, but Storm moves, and they end up clashing. Mina is back, as she hits a dropkick, sending the chair into Megan’s face. Storm puts herself and Bayne though the table at ring side!

Mina tries to suplex Shafir through the table in the corner, but Marina reverses and hits a snap suplex. Bayne with a suplex to Shirakawa and through the table. Bayne has Storm on her shoulders, and Mina is waiting with the Mother’s Milk. Storm escapes, and she hits a Storm Zero on Bayne to the gut of Marina lol.

Santa Claus is here! He has a gift! Marina goes to take it, and it’s Luther! He flips off Marina, as Toni takes the gift, and it’s a shoe! She spikes Marina in the head with it and pins her for the win!
WINNER: The Timeless Love Bombs
TIME: 11:00
THOUGHTS: A fun hardcore match that managed to control the chaos just enough to be over the top fun. The right team won, and Luther is back!
RATING: ***1/2

Video package for the Triangle of Madness, Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter. Kris says that Thekla talks a big game for a woman who has no title belt. But that’s okay, she has no problem with making Thekla call her Daddy. Jamie says they have made enemies in every corner of the world. They will work together to take care of the Triangle of Madness, but after that, she has her eyes set on Kris’ title.

The Dark Order are walking in the back. Man, I think this is the first time I have said that in my year-plus long review of this show! Evil Uno says they have the ultimate opportunity tonight; it has been a long time coming.

Hangman Page attempts to storm by them, but he is stopped. Alex Reynolds says don’t ruin this for them. Hangman says they can have their match, but as soon as it is over, the Opps are his.

COMMERCIALS!

Excalibur reminds us that Moxley and Castagnoli will collide for the first time in an AEW ring later tonight.

To the back we go, as Renee introduces the CEO, the holder of a thousand belts, Ultimo Mone! We haven’t seen her since she was unsuccessful in her match.

She shushes Renee. She is a global icon. PWI’s #1 women’s wrestler. DOES THAT SOUND UNSUCCESSFUL TO YOU?

Renee says no. But she does face Red Velvet this Friday.

Mone says she already beat her, but she will beat her again. She talks a lot on ROH when Mone isn’t there. She will give Red another chance to fall off the Mone Train again. Since she says that Mone doesn’t show up on ROH, you can catch her this week on Honor Club. Because there is a price to pay when you mess with Mone!

We get a recap of the events between The Bang Bang Gang and FTR. That takes us to FTR and Stoke, who are in the back. Tonight is the greatest night of Stoke’s life. I don’t know why, he still doesn’t get any hoes.

Stoke says that Austin Gunn and Juice want to be tag team champions for people who aren’t here, instead of wanting to win for pride, or for dignity.

Cash says that these guys are nothing more than Billy Gunn’s son and Mr. Storm. Ouch.

Dax says Austin got his job because of his dad. This is his life for the past 13 years. He dares them to put their hands on his title one more time, because they will be at Collision this Saturday. Top Guys, OUT!

6-man match incoming.

Non-Title Match: The Opps vs. Dark Order

The Opps aren’t having anything to do with the Dark Order’s entrance, as they jump them before the bell. They beat the Dark Order around the ring for a while. In the ring, the bell matches, and John Silver with some big kicks to Hook. But Hooks eats them and hits a T-Bone suplex. Reynolds dives right into the arms of Hobbs, who throws him into the barricade. Evil Uno gets the tag, but Shibata kicks Uno off the apron and to the floor. The Opps hold the ring as we hit the break.

Silver works to fight off Hook as we return. Silver with a German as he tags in Uno. Uno runs over and knocks the Opps off the apron. Uno chargers from corner to corner with clotheslines for Hook and Shibata. Big boot to Shibata, double DDT to Hook and Shibata. Hobbs in the ring now, as he eats the strikes from Uno. Well, he didn’t eat that slap, and it only serves to piss him off. Hobbs with the World’s Dangerous Slam. The cover, but the rest of the DK break it up. Silver and Reynolds try to take care of Hobbs, but they get choked from behind by Hook and Shibata. Spinebuster to Uno, and that’s game.
WINNER: The Opps
TIME: 6:10
THOUGHTS: Serviceable, I suppose. You knew the Opps weren’t losing, and the Dark Order get onto Dynamite. What a joyous occasion!
RATING: **3/4

True to his word, Hangman arrives post-match. He manages to get some kicks in, but he is overpowered by Shibata and Hobbs. That is, until Hangman ducks, and Hobbs hits Shibata with a lariat. Page pulls something out of his pocket and jams it in the head of Hobbs. Hangman looking Buckshot Lariat, but Security is here to restrain him. Hangman beats up the Security since the Opps ran off.

Renee has Don Callis, Okada, and Fletcher in the back. Callis says he is sick of answering negative questions from Renee. Okada blames Takeshita for what happened tonight lol. Speaking of Takeshita, he arrives and says he is tired of hearing his name come out of his mouth. Callis and Fletcher keep them from one another.

Callis says he isn’t an idiot, why would he have Okada put up his Unified Title in this tournament. He isn’t afraid to gamble, but it was smart for business.

Fletcher says with himself at six points, and Takeshita and Okada at three points, the DCF is in great shape.

The main event is up next on the other side of the break!

COMMERCIALS!

Hangman is pacing in the back as we return. For three years, he fought to get back to the World Title. He fought, he sweat, he bled, and he shed tears. He fought Ospreay, he fought Swerve. But he lost out because of Hook. He doesn’t care if Joe or Eddie win, he is taking the World Title back. And Hobbs, Shibata, if you want to fight, then next week, let’s do it. Page isn’t coming alone, you know who else is coming. Get your affairs in order.

Death Riders explode!

Continental Classic Match – Blue League: Jon Moxley (1-0-0, 3 points) vs. Claudio Castagnoli (1-0-0, 3 points)

Renee with intel before the match. Apparently, Moxley said if Claudio wants this tonight, he will have to take it, because he will not take it easy on him. I mean, I would hope not?

Huh, interesting that Marina came out with Jon, but Wheeler, Daniel, and PAC back up Claudio as he emerges from the back. I’m sure that means nothing lol.

The bell rings, as we get some HOLY SHIT chants. Moxley tries to pick the leg of Claudio, but he won’t give up ground. Claudio takes Moxley to the corner and it gets a little tense. Bryce just realized that Marina is still at ring side, and he tells her to leave. I guess he doesn’t value his own life lol.

Forearm battle is on as we return from break. Moxley gets caught in the Giant Swing, however, and after some revelations, Claudio puts on the sharpshooter. Moxley is bleeding somehow, I’m not quite sure how he got busted open. Moxley tries to counter, but Claudio reverses it and applies the cross face. Moxley sits back and gets a two on the pin. Moxley with the bulldog choke. Claudio to his feet as he escapes the hold.

Both men to their feet, as strikes are traded. Forearms, slaps, it’s all on the table. Moxley sends Claudio to the floor and then hits a Tope to Claudio in front of the announce table. Back in the ring, Claudio’s uppercut is countered with a backslide for a two. Moxley with a cutter, but Claudio back to his feet and he hits a lariat.

Both men reset, Claudio looking piledriver, but Moxley with the drop step and a choke from behind. Claudio reverses into a pin for a two. Moxley with a counter pin for a two. Claudio with a lariat in the corner to Moxley. Claudio throws off his elbow pad, looking for a lariat, but Moxley blocks it and hits his own lariat.

Moxley catches Claudio with the Stomp for a two count. Rear naked choke from Moxley. Claudio gets to his feet and just throws Moxley out of the ring and to the floor. Claudio to the outside, as he hits a running uppercut. Moxley just happens to take a seat in the chair at ringside, as Claudio charges in and stomps on Moxley. Claudio returns Moxley to the ring.

Back in the ring, Claudio with a lariat for a two count. Claudio with a powerbomb for another two. Moxley gets in the face of Claudio as they jaw jack. Uppercuts are exchanged, Moxley gouges the eyes, kick to the gut, Paradigm Shift.

JUST as Justin announces five minutes are left, Claudio catches Jon with an uppercut and scores the win!
WINNER: Claudio Castagnoli
TIME: 15:05
THOUGHTS: Yeah, these guys didn’t hold back, despite being Death Riders. Moxley bled, of course, but damn, this one was physical as all get-out. A great main event.
RATING: ***3/4

Marina returns to check on Jon, and PAC is here to congratulate Claudio post-match.

And with that, we are done!
