AEW has officially confirmed that Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O’Reilly on the upcoming three-hour special episode of Dynamite + Collision will be a Continental Championship Eliminator match.

On Friday’s ROH Supercard of Honor, Mark Briscoe said that O’Reilly needed a tune-up match and that he will face reigning AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley this coming Wednesday.

During tonight’s Collision, AEW confirmed via a social media post that not only will Kyle O’Reilly go one-on-one this Wednesday, but the Canadian professional wrestler will also earn a future shot at the Continental Championship should he again get the better of the Death Riders’ leader.

Moxley also commented on his upcoming match with O’Reilly during a backstage promo on tonight’s Collision. The former AEW World Champion acknowledged that Kyle has had his number so far, noting that the latter has made him submit twice in the past. However, Moxley claimed that his current version is better than the one O’Reilly faced last November and that he’d “find a way” to get past his nemesis this Wednesday.
