Karrion Kross appeared on the Ariel Helwani Show today and discussed a variety of topics including his departure from WWE and the speculation surrounding it. As previously posted, Kross said that WWE gave him 24 hours to accept their offer, and when he didn’t, they rescinded the offer. Kross went on to reveal that WWE did not make a contract offer to Scarlett, and noted that he did not get to talk to Triple H and that WWE instead assigned a rep to deal with him. Highlights of Kross’ comments are below.

On if he’s ever heard of someone being given 24 hours to accept an offer or gave it rescinded: “I haven’t, no.”

On if the offer WWE gave him was for less than what he was making: “No, but at the end of the day, when a valuation is being suggested, there has to be something where people can go to, information wise, and say, this is how we came to this, and this is what we think makes sense. I asked to see that information, I still haven’t seen it, I want to see it. Let’s look at it together and let’s decide if this is appropriate or not. I don’t think that’s unreasonable.”

On if the offer was a departure from what he was hoping for: “I wasn’t thinking about it like that. I was thinking, let’s assess everything together and see where we are at. I want to make sure this is actually reflective, fairly, of what we have information wise to collect and look at, that’s all.”

On how close he came to accepting the offer within 24 hours: “Impossible, because I had explained to them, I had said, there is no opportunity here to make an informed decision without looking at the information together, so you can’t do that. Your whole livelihood is based on this idea with no information to support it. I just wanted to get there and keep the dialogue open, and I still do.”

On who he spoke to at WWE about his contract: “It’s a rep that the company appointed to have a conversation with. I would have loved to have spoken to either of my bosses. [Helwani: Would that be Paul Levesque?] Sure. When my wife came back, Hunter had called us and we did our deals over the phone together. So I was just under the assumption that we were gonna do that again. We did them at the same time, so typically I wouldn’t put somebody in front of me to talk to Hunter, I feel comfortable to talk to him in person, we’ve always talked that way.”

On if Scarlett received an offer from WWE: “There was no offer to her. I was told at one point, because I did inquire, of course, ‘after we deal with you, we’ll deal with her.'”

On if anyone from WWE has reached out to him in the last few days: “No.”
