Kyle Fletcher Names His Favorite AEW Opponents

Kyle Fletcher has shared the names of AEW stars he enjoys wrestling the most, and it’s filled with opponents who consistently push him to his limits every time they step into the ring together.

Speaking with The Knockturnal, Fletcher was asked which AEW names he likes working with the most. He admitted it wasn’t an easy question because there are so many wrestlers on the roster he enjoys facing.

Will Ospreay was the first name that came to mind. Fletcher joked that he “despises” Ospreay, but only because of their on-screen rivalry.

“That is a very hard question because there are a lot of people that I despise that I have really good chemistry with in the ring. So I wouldn’t say that I enjoy wrestling them if that makes sense. So, Will Ospreay, hate his guts. Love being in the ring with him. I love getting in the ring with anyone that really pushes me to be better and pushes me to work as hard as I possibly can to get the victory.”

Kyle Fletcher said there’s something about wrestling Speedball Mike Bailey that always brings out his best.

“Speedball Mike Bailey is another one. Every time we’re in the ring, it feels like I’m getting pushed to another level.”

Kazuchika Okada also made the list. Fletcher said he’s already had three singles matches with him in AEW, and now gets the chance to team with him regularly. He also singled out Jon Moxley and “Hangman” Adam Page.

“Dude, I love getting in there with Okada. I’ve had three singles matches with him now in AEW, and now I get to team with him on the reg, which is awesome. Uh, dang, who do I got? I remember, dude, I only had one match with Moxley so far, but that was one of my favorite matches I’ve ever had, probably. Hangman, same. I only had one match with him, but I know if we had more, it would be that same feeling again. So yeah, there are endless, endless, endless people I love getting in the ring with and many more that I am yet to get in the ring with. So it’s just very exciting for me just looking down the roster and just being like, ‘oh, give me that one, give me that one, give me that one. Chuck me in there with anyone.”

After first breaking through in AEW as part of Aussie Open, Fletcher has established himself as one of the company’s top singles competitors by sharing the ring with many of its biggest stars.
