A new report has a bit of an update on Jacob Fatu after he was seen limping following a match at a WWE live event. As noted, Fatu was seen limping following his street fight against Solo Sikoa at a live event in Liverpool, England on Thursday. It was not clear at the time whether it was a matter of Fatu selling or a legit injury.
PWInsider Elite now reports (per Wrestling Inc) that it was not just a matter of selling, and that Fatu is hurt. The extent of the injury is not known at this time.
False Finish’s Cory Hays had noted before PWInsider’s report that Fatu was “okay,” and WWE made no mention of the injury on WWE SmackDown. Hays later noted that WWE is under the assumption that Fatu will be “fine” by Clash In Italy on Sunday, but is looking into potential alternative plans in case he is unable to compete.
Fatu is scheduled to battle Roman Reigns in Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash in Italy on Sunday. The show will air live on ESPN Unlimited in the US, with the first hour on ESPN, as well as on Netflix internationally.
