Miranda Alize has taken to social media to send a strong message amid the recent controversy surrounding her and Nixon Newell following their walkout from a recent AEW event. As reported previously, Alize and Newell didn’t compete in their scheduled tag team match against Tay Melo and Anna Jay on this week’s episode of AEW Collision and walked out of the show.
Miranda Alize and Nixon Newell have since clarified their stance on the latter’s Twitch stream that they refused to compete against TayJay because they wanted more than just three minutes and to have a match of substance but were told that the show had already been budgeted out.
Earlier today, Alize took to her Instagram story and seemingly took a dig at AEW, stating that the moment someone takes a stand for themselves, they are termed as a villain.
Here’s what she wrote:
“The moment you start standing up for yourself, everything shifts. Suddenly you’re the problem—not because you’ve changed, but because you’re no longer letting them take advantage of you. They’ll paint you as the villain, but that’s okay because you’re finally choosing yourself. This is where your freedom begins.”
After Miranda Alize and Nixon Newell walked out, Maya World and Hyan battled Tay Melo and Anna Jay in a losing cause.
TayJay is in action ahead of their Quarterfinal Match in the AEW Women's World Tag Team Title Tournament!
