MJF Offers Sammy Guevara $500,000 If He Beats Darby Allin Tonight on AEW Collision

Another one of the pillars of AEW, former TNT Champion Sammy Guevara, is challenging Darby Allin for the AEW World Title later tonight on AEW Collision. However, former AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) wants to sweeten the deal. He’s offering Guevara an extra $500,000 if he gets the job done and beats Allin tonight.

MJF wrote earlier today, “Hey ****head, @sammyguevara. If you win the match tonight, I’ll give you 500k. Get the job done.” Obviously, MJF is worried about the Hair vs. Title Match stipulation he will have to move forward with if Allin wins and retains his title.

However, if Guevara manages to win, that likely means MJF will not have to put his hair on the line at next weekend’s AEW Double or Nothing 2026. So it makes sense that MJF is rooting for his fellow pillar and former rival to win.

Also, $500,000, along with a World Title win, is a lot of added motivation for Guevara to win, as he has his family’s long-term future to think about. Guevara and his wife, fellow AEW star Tay Melo, have a daughter together, Luna Melo Guevara, who was born in November 2023.

Ultimately, time will tell if Guevara can pull off the win and the first major World Title win of his wrestling career. He faces off against Allin for the title later tonight at AEW Collision.

Tonight’s show is being held at the Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury, Maryland. The show will air live on TNT starting at 8:00 pm ET.
