The pro wrestling world is currently reeling from the news of longtime WWE Superstars, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods), parting ways with WWE. Now, AEW star and former AEW World Champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF), has reacted to the news on social media.
It looks like, despite the recent news, MJF won’t dare be sour, and he’s ready to clap his hands and feel the power of The New Day. In a post on his Instagram Stories, MJF wrote, “It’s a new day…yet is it.” The message evokes The New Day’s longtime catchphrase.
What this might mean for the former WWE veterans potentially joining AEW remains to be seen. According to the earlier reports by BodySlam+ and Fightful Select, Kingston and Woods agreed to mutually part ways with WWE, implying that they weren’t cut from the roster.
