Moose Praises His Match With Oba Femi, Says Femi Is Destined for the Hall of Fame

Moose things very highly of his on-air rival, reigning WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi. The two faced off for the NXT Title at NXT Roadblock earlier this year with Oba Femi beating Moose to retain the title. During a recent virtual signing with Signed by Superstars, Moose heavily praised Oba Femi, sharing his expectations that Oba Femi will eventually headline WrestleMania and reach the WWE Hall of Fame. Moose on his match against Oba Femi: “Yeah, that’s one of my favorite matches (versus Oba Femi). Oba’s gonna be a Hall of Famer. He’s probably gonna main event WrestleMania a couple of times, and yeah, I can’t wait to see how great he does. I’m looking forward to it. He’ll shine on the main roster. Oh, same thing, the both of those guys are gonna be like the (Hulk) Hogan and (Ultimate) Warrior. They’re gonna have long careers and successful careers when they make it up to the main roster.”

Moose on why he can’t appear in Scott D’Amore’s Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling: “I talk to him (Scott D’Amore) at least once every other week, maybe once a month. He’s doing great. He has his new fed, Maple Leaf Pro. They’re doing awesome. I wish I could work for them but you know how business is with the whole TNA — they have a relationship with AEW, we’re in competition with AEW so you know how all that whole nonsense goes.”

Oba Femi’s next challenge is facing Ricky Saints for the NXT Title at NXT No Mercy later this month. The premium live event is scheduled for Saturday, September 27 at the FTL War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It will air live on ESPN Unlimited.
