Mustafa Ali Reportedly Pulled From Elimination Chamber Match
– Mustafa Ali will not work the WWE Championship match at Elimination Chamber as scheduled, according to a new report. Fightful says that according to sources at Raw, Ali has been pulled from the match because he’s been working through an series of injuries including an injured tailbone from the Royal Rumble and an eye injury that was “accelerated” at Sunday night’s live event. The eye injury was said to not have anything to do with Randy Orton’s Garvin stomp on Smackdown that gave Ali a black eye.
The plan for the story is to blame Randy Orton for Ali’s being pulled due to the events of last week’s Smackdown. Ali had assured officials that he could work the match, but WWE is erring on the safe side for Ali.
The change has yet to be officially announced or confirmed by the company. Elimination Chamber takes place this weekend.
