MVP Attached To Film and TV Projects From Producer of The Wrestlers

MVP is set to be featured in a film and a TV project, both coming from the producer of VICE’s The Wrestlers. Deadline reports that Damian Abraham, the frontman of punk band F*cked Up, has joined forces with Zach Feldberg to launch a new production company called Cut & Paste Pictures. Cut & Paste Pictures will be based out of Toronto, Canada.

The report notes that two project featuring the AEW star are among the company’s slate of projects in development. The first is an as yet untitled feature-length documentary that is in pre-production about the “unlikely lifelong friendship” between MVP and Zach Blair, the guitarist for the progressive Chicago punk band Rise Against. The second is an unscripted series titled Exit Strategy which “explores life after prison” with MVP.

Abraham was a producer on the aforementioned VICE series that ran for a season in 2018 and 2019. The show explored the global impact of wrestling subcultures and included episodes on EVOLVE founder and now-WWE talent scout Gabe Sapolsky, women’s wrestling, DDT Pro in Japan, deathmatch wrestling, joshi promotions, and more. MVP was featured in the second episode of the show.

No word on when the MVP-related projects, which are just two of the projects Cut & Paste Picutres has in development, may see released. Production on the MVP/Zack Blair documentary begins this summer in Texas.
