Backstage News On Why WWE Put Nia Jax In Romance Angle With Enzo Amore

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that one of the reasons for the Nia Jax and Enzo Amore romance angle is that WWE wanted to give Jax something to do away from Paige, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville’s Absolution stable. The thinking here is that it would be difficult to get Rose and Deville over if Jax is upstaging them. Putting Jax in a romance/comedy angle for awhile, away from Absolution, would give them a better shot at getting over.

Absolution has been laying waste to many of the women on RAW except for Jax and Asuka.

The other reason for the Jax/Enzo story is that it will open up the possibility of Jax appearing on 205 Live as WWE continues to try and drive viewers to that show.
