Note On AEW Full Gear 2023 Color Scheme Changing

A new report has a bit of detail on AEW changing its color scheme for Full Gear back in 2023. The original graphics for the November 2023 PPV had a yellow and purple color scheme when revealed in September of that year, as you can see above; however, a month later the scheme had changed to the PPV’s more traditional look. Fightful Select reports that the original color scheme was done in order to play to the fact that the show was taking place at the Kia Forum, where the Los Angeles Lakers played, and the fact that Tony Khan is a big Lakers fan.
The site reports that the change back to the traditional graphic style at the request of the KI Form, as the Los Angeles Clippers’ owners bought the venue several years ago and wanted a change so the colors did not represent their NBA rivals. The information was learned in relation to AEW Revolution, which takes place at the former Staples Center tonight and, as such, uses the Lakers’ color scheme.
