The Bullet Club seemingly disbanded after NJPW New Year Dash, and a new report notes that there was “pushback” from several members of the stable. Following Monday morning’s New Year Dash, Yota Tsuji announced that the Bullet Club War Dogs and the Unaffiliated were being merged into a single group called Unbound Co. As Slam Wrestling notes, the IWGP Heavyweight Champion said:

“Until now, WAR DOGS and the independents have maintained an alliance. But that ends today. Our alliance ends today. We will fight henceforth as a single unit. Our name is ‘Unbound Co.’. An organisation unbound by anyone.”

The announcement suggested that the Bullet Club was finally coming to an end after being in existence through several and in several promotions since May of 2013. Fightful Select reports that there was “push back” from several members of the group that had not been kicked out. It’s not clear which members specifically pushed back, nor what that means for the group’s future.

The Bullet Club was founded by Prince Devitt (now Finn Balor in WWE) and has included a number of top names in the current industry such as Cody Rhodes, AJ Styles, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Hangman Page, Jay White, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows, Taiji Ishimori, and KENTA, among many others. The group has seen many splinter factions such as the Bullet Club Gold (now the Bang Bang Gang) in AEW and, unofficially, the OC in WWE.
