UPDATE: PWInsider reports that at this point, the deal between WWE and the ECW Arena to run NXT is not 100% complete so officially there are no shows yet. There are holds on those dates, but those holds could be moved, confirmed or done away with.

The site notes that the company was looking at running shows in the Northeast that weekend because Payback is in Maryland at that point.

ORIGINAL: PWInsider reports that NXT is set to hold a show at the 2300 (formerly ECW) Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 15 and 16.

This is the second time WWE has run a show in the venue. The first live event for their 2006 ECW revival was held there. It featured Tommy Dreamer vs The Big Show and Rob Van Dam vs Kurt Angle with Dean Malenko as the guest referee. WWE was also considering buying the venue to make it the permanent training center and home for ECW, but that never went beyond discussions.

The 2300 Arena will hold many wrestling events that month as NJPW and ROH will hold shows there on May 12 and May 13. The Wednesday event (MAy 13) is sold out and the Tuesday event is almost sold out.

Triple H said during a media conference call before NXT Takeover: Rival that he planned on making NXT a regular touring brand after its success with the Ohio live events. Those shows had no promotion beyond social media.
