WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce just confirmed a huge new title match for tomorrow’s Monday Night Raw in Seattle, Washington. Newly crowned WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta will defend his title for the first time in history against the “Original El Grande Americano, aka Chad Gable, on tomorrow’s WWE Raw show on Netflix.
Penta won the Intercontinental Title from Dominik Mysterio on last week’s show. Dominik was “cursed” by Danhausen not long before the bout, which some fans believe caused Dominik to lose.
Meanwhile, Chad Gable recently returned to the ring under the guise of his alter-ego as the “Original El Grande Americano in January at the Royal Rumble, competing in the men’s Rumble match. He recently picked up wins, beating Rayo Americano on last week’s WWE Raw and La Parka on AAA TV.
Gable and Penta have stepped into the ring several times before. Penta previously defeated Gable in the champion’s WWE in-ring debut on Monday Night Raw in January 2025.
The video of Pearce’s announcement is available below. Tomorrow’s Raw is being held at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena. The show will air live on Netflix starting at 8:00 pm ET. Here’s the updated lineup:
