Pics, Video of Charlotte Flair Winning Smackdown Women’s Championship at Summerslam

Charlotte Flair won the Smackdown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam, but lost her best friend. Flair defeated Carmella and Becky Lynch in a triple threat match at the PPV to win the title from Carmella. Flair hit Lynch with the Natural Selection while Lynch had Carmella in the Dis-arm-her, then pinned Lynch to win the title.

After the match, Lynch and Flair hugged in the ring for several moments. Lynch eventually moved to turn away, then decked Flair and tossed her around outside the ring. Lynch left the ringside area while Flair was being tended to by medical personnel.

Flair is now a two-time Smackdown Women’s Champion and, combined with the Raw Women’s Championship, a six-time WWE Women’s Champion. Carmella’s title reign ends at 131 days, having cashed in Money in the Bank on the Smackdown immediately following WrestleMania 34 to beat Flair for the title.
