FOX 4’s Great Day KC recently interviewed WWE Superstar Rey Fenix, who discussed winning the AAA World Cruiserweight Title and promoted last night’s SmackDown at the T-Mobile Center. He also discussed his recent AAA Cruiserweight Title victory.
Fenix beat Laredo Kid to win the title at last month’s AAA Noche de Los Grandes 2026: Night 1. The wrestler spoke to Good Day KC about winning the belt for the second time.
Fenix stated (via Fightful), “Yeah, it’s my baby. It’s my baby. This is the second time I got this title. This title is, let’s say, 15 years old. So, this is my second time I’ve won this title. So, the first one was probably eight years ago, and now, this baby is with me again. I bring back this title, and now with the opportunity to defend this title all over the world with WWE, SmackDown, Raw. I don’t know. It doesn’t matter.”
He added, “I’m ready for it. NXT, Raw, SmackDown. Anyone who wanna jump and take the opportunity, I’ll be ready because I am the number one Cruiserweight Champion in all this planet.”
Rey Fenix also recently defended his AAA Cruiserweight Title against Axiom on the June 12 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
