Ricochet Steers Clear of Taking Responsibility for The Demand’s Attack on Luchasaurus

AEW National Champion Ricochet has steered clear of taking any responsibility for the heinous attack on Luchasaurus by his stablemates at Dynamite: New Year’s Smash.
At New Year’s Smash, Ricochet defended the National Championship against Jack Perry. In the closing moments of the bout, his stablemates, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun, who had been brawling with Luchasaurus backstage, returned to the top of the ramp and inflicted further assault on Perry’s ally. The distraction allowed Ricochet to retain his championship, as Kaun and Liona continued to attack Luchasaurus’ already banged-up shoulder with a barricade and a steel chair.
Since then, Jack Perry has been out for revenge, and tonight in Las Vegas, he will get another opportunity when he challenges Ricochet for the National Title. The Demand leader appeared on Fox5 Las Vegas to promote the upcoming show, during which he steered clear of taking responsibility for the attack on Luchasaurus, urging Jungle Boy to go after Liona and Kaun.
“He’s been coming after me for a couple of weeks now. I hurt his partner, and now he is angry at me for some reason. I don’t know why. He’s wanting his revenge. I technically didn’t do anything. My friends, they did most of the damage; I technically didn’t do anything. So if he is mad, he should be going after them; don’t come after my championship,” he said.
