Rusev vs. Penta WWE Intercontinental Title No. 1 Contenders Match Announced for Tomorrow’s Raw

WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce previewed tomorrow’s Monday Night Raw in a new video. He revealed that Rusev and Penta will face off on tomorrow’s show, with huge title implications (see below).

The winner of the one-on-one bout will be declared the new No. 1 contender for WWE Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio. Mysterio recently defeated Rusev in a rematch on last week’s show to retain the title.

If he wins, Rusev will receive another shot at possibly beating Mysterio and winning his first WWE Intercontinental Championship. Meanwhile, Mysterio recently defeated Penta to retain his title at a WWE Supershow live event in Tokyo, Japan on October 18.

Dominik was also in action at last night’s AAA Heroes Inmortales 2025 show. He defeated Dragon Lee in the main event to retain his AAA Mega Championship.
