During a recent interview with Bert Kreischer on Something’s Burning, WWE Superstars Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins were asked by Kreischer what percentage of wrestlers are helpful backstage and what percentage are jerks. Lynch responded, “I would say most people are good for the most part.”

Lynch also added, “It’s like this, there’s this much [holds her fingers shortly apart] tension.” Meanwhile, Seth Rollins explained how things have changed compared to his early days in FCW and WWE NXT. Below are some highlights:

Seth Rollins on Why Things Are Less Cutthroat Now in WWE

“Because we all grow, we all come up together in NXT for the most part. So, we all know each other like when we’re just trying to get ourselves on, and so there’s not there’s just not as much like cutthroat behavior as there used to be back when it was like when I came in in 2012, it was different. Like, people would try to hold you down, people would not be helpful, whatever. Like if you were trying to if you were working with somebody, like there was a good chance that if you — they felt like you were coming for their spot, they just would not help you out. So, that started to dwindle, I think, over the years as everybody stayed around a little bit longer. And even before, like if you just trace it all the way back to like territory days, it was worse and worse and worse, where it was hard for people to work together because you just never trusted anybody. Now, I just think it’s a much different. There’s a couple of bad eggs in there, but it’s not that many.”

Becky Lynch on How It’s Hard to Let Go of Wrestling

“It’s hard to let go of wrestling. I’d imagine it stays in the blood, you know, but the body gives up, I think, before the mind does, you know.”

Seth Rollins is currently out of action and recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered at WWE Crown Jewel Perth. His wife, Becky Lynch, will compete in the women’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 on Saturday, November 29.

The WWE premium live event takes place at Petco Park in San Diego, California. It will air live on the ESPN App in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
