Seth Rollins recently responded to Roman Reigns’ claim that he has made the World Heavyweight Championship relevant. Reigns captured the World Heavyweight Title from CM Punk in the main event of WrestleMania 42 this past April.

Punk had won the title against Jey Uso at last November’s Saturday Night’s Main Event after Seth Rollins relinquished it due to a shoulder injury he suffered in October 2025. Roman’s views on the World Heavyweight Title have changed significantly since entering the title picture during the Road to WrestleMania 42.

A few years ago, when Rollins became the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion, Reigns, who was the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at the time, had called it a “loser bracket title.”

Rollins recently spoke to Big Nick Turturro on Delivering Happiness. During the conversation, Seth spoke about how he felt disgusted watching two of his biggest rivals, CM Punk and Roman Reigns, battle for his title in the main event of ‘Mania 42. The Visionary also dismissed Roman’s claim that he elevated the prestige of the World Heavyweight Championship as “complete bull****.”

“So, now Roman Reigns is walking around with my title, right? Talking about how he made the title relevant, which is bullsh*t. I’ll just say it. It’s complete bullsh*t. He knows it. I know it. Everybody else knows it. He sounds like an idiot when he says it,” he said.

Since winning the championship in Las Vegas, Roman has retained it against Jacob Fatu twice. With Seth Rollins participating in the King of the Ring tournament, it will be interesting to see if we get to witness the bitter rivals lock horns for the championship at SummerSlam 2026.
