Stephanie Vaquer Shares International Women’s Day Message, Comments On Domestic Violence

Stephanie Vaquer sent a message of inspiration as a survivor of domestic violence for International Women’s Day. Sunday was the annual celebration day to honor women’s achievements while also advocating for more action toward gender equality. Vaquer posted to her Instagram stories to with a message to honor the day, and touched on her own experience with gendered violence.

Vaquer wrote:

“This Women’s Day, a huge hug to all women, especially those who, like me, spoke up and reported despite fear and threats. He is still free, but I am still alive and I will keep fighting for the truth and justice until the end.”

The WWE Women’s World Champion’s former partner Cuatrero was arrested in 2023 when he allegedly assaulted and attempted to strangle her. He was charged and the case remains ongoing, though he is free from prison in 2025 as pending the further prosecution by the prosecutor’s office in Mexico City.

Vaquer will defend the Women’s World Championship against Liv Morgan at WrestleMania 42 next month. The PLE takes place on April 18th and 19th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
