TNA Reportedly Discussing Potential New Title

TNA is considering the addition of a new championship to their ranks in the near future, according to a new report. According to Fightful Select, sources have indicated that the company is considering a pitch for a new midcard women’s championship.
Details are still scarce at the moment about the title including its name, what kind of title it will be, or how it is defined beyong “midcard” and “women’s.” The report notes that their sources say that an announcement counld come soon if all the details are worked out. Of course, until it is announced anything could change especially considering the recent change in creative, with Tommy Dreamer having exited.
The report also notes that there is a women’s tournament of sime kind that was planned for July. It is not clear if this is related to the potential new title or a separate thing.
TNA currently has two titles for its Knockouts divion. The firts is the Knockouts World Championship, currently held by Léi Yǐng Lee in her second reign. The company also has Knockouts World Tag Team Championships, which are held by Heather by Elegance and M by Elegance of the Elegance Brand. They have no defunct women’s championships at this time.
