Tama Tonga Reportedly Headed To WWE
WWE is set to sign a prominent free agent, Tama Tonga, according to reports from Dave Meltzer and Fightful Select.
Prior to his time in NJPW, Tonga began his career in All Japan Pro Wrestling under the names King Tonga, Haku, and Meng.
He later joined The Bullet Club in NJPW, where he teamed up with AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows. During his time in NJPW, Tonga held the IWGP Tag Team Titles seven times with Loa and also won the Never Openweight Title on four occasions.
They recently put Hikuleo and Phantasmo, with manager Jado serving as the referee. WWE has been keeping an eye on Tonga for quite some time. Tonga has been with NJPW for almost 14 years and recently concluded his tenure with a tag team match alongside his brother Tanga Loa.
Fightful Select has been told that Observer's report about Tama Tonga is accurate, and he's expected to go to WWE pic.twitter.com/6oESN0cUlq
