The Butcher wants to be back on AEW television, but he says he has “no hard feelings” about not being on TV for so long. The AEW star hasn’t wrestled on AEW television since early last year, something that he took to Twitter on Friday to note how long he’s been off of television and would like to get back into the ring.
Butcher wrote:
“Last time I wrestled an @aew match was a year and 7 days ago. Would love to get back out there either with Blade or just myself. Best shape of my life and no dance partners.”
When a fan asked if they were ignoring his phone calls or just saying they don’t need him, Butcher replied:
“Honestly, there’s so many great wrestlers right now. I’m sure it’s difficult to book a show with such an insane roster. It’s not hard feelings, i just feel i have a lot more in the tank.”
Butcher has regularly been part of a tag team with Blade, but they haven’t teamed up in AEW or ROH since on the January 10th, 2024 episode of ROH On HonorClub. They lost a bout to Top Flight. Butcher’s last match in AEW at all was a loss to Gabe Kidd on the February 19th, 2025 episode of AEW Collision. He has had a handful of matches in the independents, most recently wrestling at Mystery Wrestling #19 on October 19th, 2025.
