The House Always Wins Expected To Draw First or Second-Largest Pandemic Crowd For AEW
As we previously reported, AEW released additional tickets for tonight’s The House Always Wins, their first non-televised live event, after it sold out. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the event is expected to be either the first or second largest AEW crowd since the pandemic. The capacity has been increased to the highest number to date. Some of the seats opened up have never been available before.
It’s believed that the event will have either a similar or slightly more than AEW Revolution, which drew 1,300. The show will not air on TV but it will be taped for the company’s library. Tony Khan has said that he sees this and future house shows like ECW Arena shows. They will be canon in terms of storylines, but fans who don’t attend will have to wait to see them. There is currently no plan for how or when the show will be widely available, but it will happen eventually.
The show is giving the talent and company experience at producing a house show, which is part of the reason it’s happening.
