NXT has continued to heavily feature TNA stars, with Oba Femi vs. Trick Williams taking place this past Tuesday on NXT and leaving to a large NXT vs. TNA brawl to end the show. As noted earlier, Fightful Select reported this week that WWE plans to have the TNA invasion of NXT be a long-term program involving both companies with TNA likely to tape TV at the Performance Center soon.
BodySlam.net has some new details on WWE plans for the NXT vs. TNA storyline, reporting that WWE has filed a trademark for “Invasion” and that WWE has discussed bringing back the WWE Invasion PPV name (the original WWE Invasion show took place in 2001 and was centered around the WWE vs. The Alliance storyline) for a NXT vs. TNA show that could be either a PLE or a TV special.
