Tommaso Ciampa & Chris Jericho Open AEW Dynamite With Dueling Promos

Tommaso Ciampa opened up this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite to go off on Chris Jericho, which led to Jericho coming out to trade verbal (and physical) shots. Wednesday night’s episode opened with Ciampa being interviewed by Tony Schiavone, or at least that was the intent. Instead Ciampa cut Schiavone’s introduction off and ordered him to repeat what he said on Collision when Ciampa ordered the announcer to say he was better than Jericho.

Schiavone refused to do so and Ciampa backed him into the corner before Jericho came out to the ring. Jericho asked who has to talk to in order to face someone with hair and then proceeded to introduce himself. Ciampa countered that Jericho was the person who he left lying in the ring two weeks ago.

The two went back and forth on the mic, with Jericho wanting to know why Ciampa dislikes him so much. Jericho suggested that Ciampa hated him because he wants to be him but can’t, and that Ciampa came into AEW with plenty of fanfare but it hasn’t worked out as well as he hoped. He told Ciampa to get the stick out of his ass before he shoves it up further.

That led to the two brawling before officials came out to try and separate them. You can see clips from the segment below.
