Tommaso Ciampa is officially All Elite following his debut on AEW Dynamite, with Tony Khan confirming he’s signed. As previously noted, Ciampa made his debut on this week’s episode of Dynamite. The WWE alumnus came out to confront Mark Briscoe after Briscoe defended his TNT Championship against El Clon. Briscoe announced an open challenge for AEW Collision and Ciampa appeared. It was confirmed soon after that a match for the Championship between Ciampa and Briscoe is set for this week’s episode of AEW Collision.
Following the segment, Khan posted to his Twitter account to confirm Ciampa is signed to the company. He wrote:
“He arrived on #AEWDynamite tonight to answer Mark Briscoe’s TNT Title Open Challenge for #AEWCollision this Saturday, and now it’s official:
Tommaso Ciampa is ALL ELITE!”
Ciampa has yet to make a public statement about his signing with AEW. The new roster member is an 11-year veteran of WWE where he was a two-time NXT Champion, a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion, and a NXT Tag Team Champion. He officially exited the company earlier this week when his contract expired without an extension or new deal being signed. Ciampa’s profile was moved to WWE’s alumni section yesterday.
