Traditional PPV Buys For WWE Survivor Series Higher Than Last Year
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has details on the traditional PPV buys for this year’s Survivor Series, which were higher than last year’s event. Obviously, it should be noted that Peacock and the WWE Network remain the top method of watching WWE PPVs these days. The company has already announced that viewership was up 44%.
The early number, which only includes a few days of late buys, was at 8,400. This is up from Fastlane (7,100) but down from Crown Jewel (8,700) at around the same time. Both of those shows had John Cena and Roman Reigns, while Survivor Series did not. However, with the arrival of CM Punk as a surprise at the end, it’s possible late buys increase dramatically. Overall, Survivor Series was up 17.4% from last year.
Of those who bought this event, 9.1% bought AEW Full Gear and 40% bought Crown Jewel.
