Update on AEW Revolution Live Gate and Turnstile Count
– Wrestlenomics has an update with more details on the ticket sales and live attendance numbers for AEW Revolution 2024. The event was held at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The event featured Sting’s last match.
According to records provided to Wrestlenomics by the City of Greensboro in a public records request, the event grossed over just $1 million in ticket sales. That falls in line with the earlier gate figure reported following the event in March. The final figure came out to $1,025,829.50 in ticket sales. That includes $64,865.10 in sales tax, and $9,547.23 toward Ticketmaster’s 5% fee. Without taxes and fees, the event’s net revenue came out to $951,417.17.
The records also show the event sold 15,837 tickets, with an average ticket price at about $65. That includes tickets sold at high “platinum” prices. The event reportedly had 281 comps for a total of 16,118 tickets distributed, which is in line with the previously announced attendance figure.
Wrestlenomics noted that the turnstile count was also part of the records request. The number of scanned tickets for the event was reportedly 13,950 based on a spreadsheet from Greensboro personnel that was given to AEW via email. The turnstile count comes out to 13,950. That accounts for 88% of the actual tickets sold figure.
For comparison, AEW announced a tickets sold figure of 81,035 for AEW All In: London in August 2023. The event had a reported turnstile count of 72,265. The turnstile count is about 89% of the tickets sold figure. AEW sources previously indicated to Fightful that it’s normal for the number of tickets scanned to fall in-between 80% and 90% of the number of tickets sold.
AEW Revolution 2024 was broadcast live on pay-per-view. The event reportedly drew 180,000 pay-per-view buys.
