Update on Ricochet Following Injury Scare on Monday’s WWE RAW

As previously reported, Ricochet was believed to have suffered a concussion during a match on Monday’s WWE RAW, leading to the end being botched. It was believed that Ricochet kicked out at the end when he wasn’t supposed to after getting hurt. It was noted at the time that he was tested for a concussion after the show.
In the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer had an update on Ricochet’s condition. He said that the former WWE Intercontinental champion was not diagnosed with a concussion and is believed to be “fine” now. He doesn’t remember a lot of the match on Monday, though. However, it’s unknown when he will be cleared due to concussion protocol.
As noted, Ricochet and Bronson Reed were meant to be pinned at the same time, leaving the winner up in the air between The Miz and Ivar. The original plan was for the two to move onto next week for a match to determine who gets a title shot at GUNTHER. As of last Tuesday’s NXT, the plan now seems to be just for Miz to face GUNTHER.
