Vanity Project Successfully Defend Tag Team Titles On WWE NXT

The Vanity Project were able to leave their match on this week’s episode of WWE NXT with their NXT Tag Team Championship reign intact. Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor put their titles on the line in the first match on Tuesday’s show, defending the championships against Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux. Legacy and Van Dux won a title shot on last week’s show, but weren’t able to pick up the win tonight.

The match saw Legacy and Van Dux primed to win in the final moments, but Myka Lockwood yanked down the ropes to send Von Dux to the outside of the ring. He got knocked into the ringpost, and that provided an opening for Van Dux to be hit with a top rope knee and reverse DDT combination for the win by the champions.

You can see clips from the match below. Smokes and Baylor have been NXT Tag Team Champions for 141 days; they won the titles from DarkState on the February 24th episode of WWE NXT.
