Venue Advertising John Cena For WWE Backlash

The venue for WWE Backlash is advertising John Cena for this coming weekend’s PLE. The Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida updated it’s listing for the show to announce that “John Cena returns to Tampa” at the show.
Cena posted to Twitter late last month to indicate he was going to be at the PLE, writing:
“Man if only it were 2023 again!! I might have different business at @WWE #Backlash Alas, the years pass. I am still gonna try to do something epic in Tampa for 5/9. I promised Club WWE something special… stay tuned.”
WWE has not yet officially confirmed Cena for the show. Cena last appeared at WrestleMania 42, where he served as host and announced the attendance for both nights.
WWE Backlash takes place from Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida on May 9th. It will air on ESPN Unlimited in the US and Netflix internationally. The card is as follows:
* World Heavyweight Championship Match: Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu
* WWE United States Championship Match: Trick Williams vs. Sami Zayn.
* Bron Breakker vs. Seth Rollins.
* Asuka vs. IYO SKY.
* Danhausen & TBA vs. Kit Wilson & The Miz.
