Will Ospreay Reveals When He Got Cleared To Return To Ring

Will Ospreay took to social media this morning following his return at AEW Revolution to reveal when he was cleared to return. As noted, Ospreay made his return on last night’s AEW Revolution PPV to go after Jon Moxley. The returning AEW star posted to Twitter to share a video of himself in the ring from the show and noted he had been cleared for a couple of weeks.

Ospreay wrote:

“Double fusion Surgery date: 17th September 2025

Got cleared: 25th February 2026

Back: 15th March 2026”

Ospreay had been written off AEW television at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door when he was attacked by Moxley and the Death Riders after the Lights Out Steel Cage Match. Ospreay ended up locked inside the cage with Moxley and his group and had his neck Pilmanized by Moxley. The angle was done so Ospreay could undergo neck surgery for herniated disks.

AEW aired vignettes in recent weeks hyping Ospreay’s return without noting when that might be. His return comes just as AEW started the pre-sale for AEW All In: London on Monday. Ospreay is expected to be a big part of that show, which takes place on August 30 in London, England at Wembley Stadium.
