WWE Reportedly Made Changes to Producer Assignments In Recent Weeks
WWE made several changes to their producers’ responsibility in recent weeks, according to a new report. As reported back in early July, the company stopped using Ariya Daivari and Curtis Axel as producers and Daivari is now signed to AEW, where he is appearing on screen and producing matches. According to Fightful Select, there are several other adjustments that have been made in recent weeks to the producer roles, including taking some off the road a week and more.
According to the report, WWE began to double up on producer assignments, assigning producers multiple segments on the same show which was a change from the relative rarity of doing so. In addition to that, there used to be segments that were produced by two people and that has been stripped back to having a single producer on them. These changes were in part due to the release of Daivari and Axel. Jason Jordan, who is a senior producer, has been more directly involved in producing individual segments, something that was relatively rare previously.
In addition, some producers were taken off the road for a week at a time, which was a step made to limit travelling costs.
