WWE NXT 2.0 Debut Garners Rise in Viewership & Ratings
– Showbuzz Daily has the overnight ratings for last night’s edition of WWE NXT TV. Last night’s show featured the debut of the newly rebranded NXT 2.0, with new lighting, a new logo, format, a newly designed venue, production elements, and more. With last night marking a new era of NXT, the show did see a significant bump up in ratings and viewership.
Last night’s NXT 2.0 episode drew 770,000 viewers. That’s up about 169,000 viewers following the drop for last week’s audience, which drew 601,000 viewers. This was the largest audience for NXT since April 20.
Meanwhile, the show finished with a 0.21 rating in the P18-49 key ratings demo. The rating also increased from last week’s 0.14 in the same key demo. WWE NXT also managed to rank in the Top 10 cable programs for the evening at No. 10. That’s after the show fell to No. 31 last week.
Last night’s show ended with the wedding of Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell. Also, Tommaso Ciampa regained the NXT World championship, beating Pete Dunne, LA Knight, and Von Wagner in a Fatal 4-Way. Bronson Rechsteiner, the son of former WWE & WCW star Rick Steiner, also made his NXT in-ring debut as Bron Breakker.
Tucker Carlson Tonight on FOX News topped the ratings and viewership for Tuesday night with a 0.28 rating in the key demo and 3.776 million viewers.
