WWE Reportedly Considering Change to Brock Lesnar’s Royal Rumble Opponent
– WWE is said to be considering changing their plans for Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. Lesnar was reportedly planned to face Finn Balor, but according to a rumor from Cageside Seats, WWE may souring on the potential matchup for the PPV.
The site reports that Balor’s loss at Raw to Kane is being viewed by some as evidence that WWE is cooling on the idea of Balor, as they would theoretically want to build Balor up and make him look strong ahead of a match with Lesnar. Of course, none of this is confirmed and there is still time to build Balor back up at this point, so as usual with long-term booking plans take it with a grain or two of salt.
The Royal Rumble takes place on January 28th, 2018 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and will air live on WWE Network.
