WWE Signs Independent Wrestler Victoria Gonzalez
– According to squaredcirclesirens.com, WWE has signed Texas independent wrestler Victoria Gonzalez. Gonzalez is the daughter of Speedy Gonzalez/Rick “Desperado” Gonzalez, who worked the Texas independent scene. Gonzalez stands six foot one inch and was a standout high school basketball player, before playing college basketball at Texas A&M-Kingsville and Sam Houston State.
Following her college graduation, she trained with the Galvans in Corpus Christi, with Richard Aleman in San Antonio, with George de la Isla at America’s Academy of Pro Wrestling in Austin, and with Rudy Boy Gonzalez of the Texas Wrestling Academy (formerly the Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy) in San Antonio.
Gonzalez had a WWE tryout in May of 2016 at the WWE Performance Center, and also sent a tape in for the last round of Tough Enough.
