WWE Files Trademarks For Three New Ring Names

WWE is continuing its spate of trademark applications, filing applications for three more ring names, per a new report. F4W Online reports that the company filed applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office for the names “CJ Valor,” “Santi Rivera,” and “Romeo Moreno” on Thursday.

The description for each trademark follows the pattern for ring names, reading:

“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”

The new trademark applications follow closely on applications for the ring names “Tristan Angels” and “Dorian Van Dux.” Tristan Angels in the new ring name for Nathaniel Cranton, who previously worked as Nathan Angels.

WWE filed video game-related trademark applications for “WWE Domination,” “WWE Generations,” and “WWE Eras Collide” recently.
