WWE has been ordered to turn over documents from the federal investigations into Vince McMahon as part of the lawsuit filed over the TKO merger. As you may recall, WWE was sued in November of 2023 over the company’s merger into TKO. The plaintiffs have argued that WWE’s investigation into Vince McMahon were a “sham,” and that McMahon manipulated the sale process to Endeavor for his benefit.

The plaintiffs in the case have been seeking documents from the Department of Justice and the SEC from the investigation into McMahon. The disgraced former WWE Chairman was investigated after it was revealed that he had paid out a number of NDAs over claims of sexual harassment and more. The revelation of those NDAs led to Janel Grant’s lawsuit alleging sex trafficking, abuse and more. Grant’s lawuit in turn led to McMahon’s exit from WWE and TKO.

According to POST Wrestling, a Delaware Court of Chancery order WWE to produce the documents related to the investigations. Judge Vice Chancellor J. Travis Laster issued the ruling on Friday.

The ruling noted that oral arguments on the matter were not necessary and said:

“The relevance of the investigations to McMahon’s motivations is obvious. The exus not only exists but is tight and direct. The claim that documents have been produced appears strained. The claim that the request came too late has been disproven. The requests are neither disproportionate nor overly burdensome. Control over documents encompasses documents in the possession, custody, or control of agents. If agents made some of the communications, or if agents currently possess or control access to them, then the defendants must collect and produce those communications, in addition to the communications they themselves possess.”

The defendants in the lawsuit include McMahon, Nick Khan, Triple H, George Barrios, Michelle Wilson, and others. The trial is currently scheduled to start in June of 2026.
