Zara Zakher, Jamar Hampton & Drako Knox Announce WWE Departures

Zara Zakher, Jamar Hampton, and Drako Knox are the latest talent under WWE contract to announce their departures from the company. As reported earlier, Stevie Turner announced that her time with WWE had come to an end and Zayda Steel and Kylie Rae have exited in the last couple of days. Zakher, Hampton, and Knox all posted to their social media accounts on Friday evening to announce that they two were exiting.

Zakher noted that her WWE ID contract had expired and that she would be “taking a step back” from professional wrestling, writing:

“As of today, my contract with WWE ID has expired, and I’ll be taking a step back from wrestling. I’m so grateful for all the people I’ve met and everyone who’s supported me. I don’t know if or when I’ll be back, but I’m hopeful for the future.”

Meanwhile, Hampton wrote on one of his social media accounts, as shared by Cory Hays on Twitter:

“Today I have officially been released from the WWE. I never wished to be a pro wrestler growing up, but I’m grateful I got the opportunity to try! I’ve always been a lowkey out the way type of person, but wrestling forced me to grow and step to the center of attention. Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to keep going! belief in me kept me going when I didn’t believe in myself. This is the end of my wrestling career, I’ll leave it to the professionals now! Wishing success for everyone at the PC!

Finally, Knox posted to Twitter to write:

“Effective immediately, I have been released from my contract with WWE.

I am thankful for every person and every day I spent in that PC. I give everything I have every single day for this business!

I will be available for bookings in 30 days.

Zakher signed a WWE ID contract in November of last year. She has competed in a number of promotions including TJPW, GCW, DPW, DEFY, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, West Coast Pro, and Future Stars of Wrestling.

Hampton signed with WWE in late 2024 and has competed on WWE LFG as Troy Yearwood. He has been a competitor on NXT live events and appeared on WWE Evolve. Knox signed with WWE in 2023 and, like Hampton, competed on WWE LFG as Drake Starks. He competed on WWE EVOLVE.
