Zelina Vega had a moment at last year’s WWE Backlash when she got to challenge for the Women’s World title in Puerto Rico. That moment has been immortalized in the form of a new Funko Pop, and Vega took to Instagram to comment on it.
She wrote: “When I say.. full on happy tears.. thank you @wwe @originalfunko Biggest thank you to mi gente 🇵🇷.. this moment was special BECAUSE of my BEAUTIFUL people of Puerto Rico and all of you supporting at home. You guys changed my LIFE that night.. I usually hold my emotions in so tight but you held my heart in your hands and sung “Yo soy Boricua, pa’que tu lo sepas!” with a burning passion that is.. Latino. FOR PUERTO RICO! #laisladelencanto I never knew that lil Puerto Rican girl from Queens NY would ever have a moment like that or be shown that kind of love on a stage like WWE where I was always told I was too small to succeed in. I didn’t always believe in me but you did.. and I love you for it.. thank you. Forever grateful. #NeverGivingUp #LWO”
