Zoey Serrano Thinks Not Feuding With Trish Stratus Was a Missed Opportunity

Zoey Serrano never got a chance to feud with Trish Stratus after turning on her, and she considers it a missed opportunity. The TNA star, who was Zoey Stark in WWE, was aligned with Stratus during the latter’s feud with Becky Lynch in 2023. It all came to a head at WWE Payback when Stratus lost to Lynch and Stratus berated Stark, who hit her with the Z360. That was the conclusion of that particular run for Stratus.

Serrano reflected on not getting to feud with Stratus on Ring The Belle, noting that it’s just the way it happened. She was also asked about the Z360 and revealed the move’s origin. You can see highlights below:

On If She Considers Not Feuding With Stratus a Missed Opportunity:

“Yeah. Yeah, yeah. It could have taken my career down a different path. But that’s okay. Things happen for a reason and we just — we roll with the punches, you know?”

On If She Knew It Was Stratus’ Last Appearance:

“I did, yeah. I found out that day. We kind of had — it wasn’t like a talk of like, ‘This is definitely my last appearance.’ It was just more of, ‘As of right now, this is just what’s kind of happening and we’ll see what happens after.’ And we wanted to do something together, and it just didn’t work out, you know? That’s just how wrestling works. Not everything works out the way you want it to.”

On Coming Up With the Z360:

“So my friend Matt Vandagriff — he’s an indie wrestler and if you don’t know who he is, look him up because he is insanely athletic. We were just playing around, because I just wanted something different. That’s all I knew. I didn’t know what I wanted to be or anything like that, I just knew something different. [It] really just came from him. I really can’t even take the credit.”
