Winner and Still WWE US Champion- Kalisto ***1/2 ( Hell of a match and one of the better pre-show matches the WWE has done. There was good psychology, everything was crisp and well executed and I felt Kalisto was on Del Rio’s level here rather than playing the little underdog like he has in their previous encounters.)

Winners- Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch **3/4 ( These girls did a damn good job in their rare opening match role. Banks looked like a superstar and Lynch got over as a resilient fighter. They got a strong win in a competitive match and Tamina and Naomi did a hell of a job putting them over. They had a simple tag match and it built up Banks and Lynch as strong championship contenders, so this was a good start all around. )

WWE Intercontinental Championship- Kevin Owens © vs. Dolph Ziggler
Owens throws a head butt to start and he pounds away. Owens grabs a head lock but Ziggler escapes and goes for the Rear Naked Choke but Owens is able to go back to the hold. Ziggler goes for Sweet Chin Music but misses and Owens hits the Pop Up Powerbomb for 3!!!
Winner and Still WWE Intercontinental Champion- Kevin Owens ***1/2 ( Really good match. The early portion of the match was weird as they resorted to a lot of rest holds and not in the way that Owens’ usually does it to be entertaining. The final stretch of Ziggler throwing everything he had in the tank was great and put this on par with some of their Raw encounters from weeks prior. )

Charlotte powers out and she catches Brie in the Figure-8. Brie taps.
Winner and Still WWE Diva’s Champion- Charlotte ** ( This match was a mess. Brie wasn’t good at all, her offense looked sloppy and it generated some really awkward moments throughout the contest. The match was probably good in theory but this had poor execution. )

Winner- AJ Styles ***3/4 ( Great match but it came just short of the epic they were probably looking for. There were times where they were really out of synch and some sequences were ugly looking. However, I loved that this was back and forth from the get go and Jericho really turned up the intensity to put over how important the conclusion to their feud was. )

Xavier Woods claims today is the day of rest and they walk out instead. The League of Nations threaten Edge and Christian and Alberto Del Rio claims he ended Edge’s career five years ago. Edge and Christian decide to leave and declare that the League of Nations are providing the five second pose as the League of Dumbasses. Yeah this sucked.

Curtis Axel w/Social Outcasts vs. R-Truth
Hip toss by Truth and he hits some punches in the corner. Truth knocks the Social Outcasts off the apron but Axel is able to shove him down to the mat. Goldust comes out and he trips up Axel. Goldust fights them on the floor and he rolls Rose into the ring which distracts Truth. Axel rolls him up for 3.
Winner- Curtis Axel DUD ( This whole thing was so stupid. There was no heat, they did absolutely nothing during the match, and everyone came out of this looking like the geeks they are.)

He starts creaming Reigns repeatedly with the chair and hits another chair shot knocking Lesnar to the floor. Reigns catches Ambrose with the Spear for 3!!!!
Winner- Roman Reigns **** ( Awesome main event. Loved that the double teaming on Lesnar was 100% effective, keeping him out of the match so they can do battle to determine who goes to WrestleMania. They destroyed Lesnar and made sure he didn’t have another opening again and in the end, Reigns was the better man. I loved this match and I think they may have finish this a little too soon, they could have kept rolling for a few minutes and this could have been even better. )

Triple H and Roman Reigns face off and stare at the WrestleMania sign to end the show.

7.0
The final score: review Good
The 411
This turned out to be a pretty solid show. The wrestling on this show was pretty good with the exception of Truth/Axel and was capped off by two excellent matches in Styles/Jericho and the three way match. The Edge and Christian segment was embarassing and the third hour almost sent the show into a nosedive but thankfully the main event was a brutal war that just goes to show how great Brock Lesnar is. This was a nice surprise for what could have been a throwaway show but they REALLY need to start building up the WrestleMania programs because outside of Triple H/Reigns and probably Charlotte/Becky/Banks, everything is up in the air. This show is worth a look but I implore you to skip everything between the two main events so you have a more enjoyable viewing experience.
