-Video recap of last week’s show.
-Michael Cole opens the show by himself. Before the show, Cole made his entrance, but Jerry Lawler didn’t. We see video of Lawler brawling with Punk backstage, with Punk getting the better of the fight.
-Sheamus comes to the ring to kick off the show. Sheamus says that they are ready to get things going in Chicago, and hen he comes here, the party never ends. But he says the party will end for Alberto Del Rio. At Night of Champions…
Sheamus is interrupted by CM Punk’s music, and the WWE Champion makes his way out to the stage, and the crowd in Chicago is happy to see him. Punk tells Sheamus not to come out and talk to his hometown. They can relate to Punk because he is from there, and he then asks how everyone is doing. Punk says what we saw earlier was him beating up Jerry Lawler. But the cameras did not catch Jerry attacking HIM from behind. Punk then says Lawler got what he deserved, Chicago style. If it isn’t bad enough that Lawler need to attack him from behind he has been attacking his integrity. So last week, he took it upon himself to teach Lawler a lesson in respect. Class was in session until the white knight, John Cena got involved where he did not belong. He asks the universe, did he turn his back on them? They respond with loud NO chants. John Cena helped Jerry Lawler, which means he agrees with Lawler, which means his disagrees with Punk, and that amounts to disrespect. Punk sys if you disrespect the WWE Champion, for 288 days mind you, it is Cena that has turned his back on the WWE Universe.
Sheamus cuts off Punk and says he knows they were in Punk’s hometown, and says if they want to talk disrespect, say you’re the best, well Sheamus says he is the world champion, and Punk interrupted him. That’s alike the crime the Rock committed, you remember that? Sheamus says at least the Rock had the guts to step into the ring, unlike Punk who is on the stage. Come on down FELLA! Punk says he already beat up one goon tonight. Sure you are the world champion, which makes you at the best, second best in the world. Punk says Sheamus is behind him in the pecking order, so shut your mouth. Sheamus tells him to turn around, because he is talking out his ARSE.
AJ now skips her way out in her Ally McBeal special. She has announcements to make. Tonight, John Cena will face Alberto Del Rio tonight. Also, CM Punk will face Sheamus in a champion vs. champion match.
-Randy Orton walks.
-Vickie Guerrero is out to announce that she has personal issues with AJ, which she will discuss later tonight. She then announces Dolph Ziggler after saying EXCUSE ME a few times.
Ziggler shows off to begin, because that’s what he does. Off the ropes, shoulder blocks by Orton and then a dropkick connects for 2. Orton lays the boots to Ziggler, boot and ten connects with the slingshot suplex, which gets 2. Ziggler fights back with rights, to the corner and Orton out with a clothesline. Tosses Ziggler to the floor, and then slams him to the barricade. Orton tosses Ziggler to another barricade, and then lays in a clothesline.
~commercial time~
Hip toss by Orton, and to the corner they go. Mounted rights by Orton in the corner, off the ropes and a boot to the knee by Ziggler, which is followed by a neck breaker. To the floor and Ziggler in control, eating down Orton and then tolling him back into the ring and covering for 2. Elbow drop by Ziggler, and a cover gets 2. Ziggler works the chinlock now, Orton works to get to his feet, Ziggler with a headstand into a bridge for the chinlock. Yup. Orton to his feet, connects with a head butt, off the ropes and a knee to the gut by Ziggler. Elbow drop misses for Ziggler, rights by Orton. A whip to the corner, back elbow by Ziggler and then a clothesline connects for 2. Ziggler now climbs up top, Orton crotches him. Uppercuts by Orton, follows Ziggler up and connects with the superplex, making Cowboy Bob proud. Orton covers for 2. Clotheslines by Orton now, snap slam follows and then looks for the hangman’s DDT, but Ziggler escapes, back in and then runs into the back breaker for 2. Ziggler gets a flatliner out of nowhere, and covers for 2. Ziggler sets, fameasser misses, Orton gets the hangman’s DDT and drops to the mat. RKO countered, counter, roll up and Ziggler gets the tights on the sloppy reversal and gets the win.

-The Miz makes his way out to the ring. He drops by to do commentary.
-Cole breaks down the Punk vs. Lawler pre-show brawl.
-Time for more anger management classes, and we get to see anger collages. Bryan’s is filled with YES and NO. he explains the yes chants, and the fact that he now says no and they still say yes, and he rips it up. Kane gets to share next, and has a blank piece of paper. When asked how he feels inside, Kane gets up and tosses the paper in a trashcan and does his pose, setting it on fire. Bryan calls him a teacher’s pet. Next they will discuss their families.
-Cole and Miz joke about the anger management deal, as Sin Cara walks. He will tag with Rey Mysterio tonight.
Cara and Cody to begin, some counters and a handspring elbow by Cara. He backs off…
~commercial time~
Tensai in control now, beating down Sin Cara. Rights and head butts in the corner. Tag to Cody, and Cody covers for 2. Cody now works the surfboard, Cara out and then Cody beats him down and tries to remove his mask. To the corner, tag to Tensai and he delivers uppercuts to Cara. Big slam by Tensai, and then the Vulcan neck pinch. To the corner now, boots by Cara, tag to Cody and he cuts off Cara from making the tag. Cara battles back, tag to Rey. Head scissors by Rey, rights to Cody, up top and a Thesz press connects for 2. Tensai breaks that up, Rey escapes a back breaker and trips up Tensai. 619 to Tensai. Missile dropkick by Cara follows. Cody grabs Rey, gut buster suplex gets 2 for Cody. Rey counters a powerbomb, 619 to Cody. Tag to Cara, senton connects on Cody and that is all.

-More anger management class with Bryan and Kane. They are holding hands, and the doctor says they have anger issues due to trust issues. Kane and Bryan are not participating. The doctor says Bryan and Kane will demonstrate. They reluctantly agree. Bryan has to fall backwards, so Kane can catch him. Bryan refuses, and then says he trusts Kane. Kane catches him and the room claps for them. The doctor says they can move to part two, catching Harold. Poor Harold is not caught, and they ask each other if they knew that they were not going to catch him. Bryan says he thinks he understands Kane, and poor Harold needs medical attention.
-Sheamus makes his way to the ring.
-Punk now makes his way to the ring. He is not dressed to wrestle. He grabs a mic and says that he is home in sweet Chicago. Punk says that Chicago respects him, and his decisions. They get it, they understand. They know that this should be a main event, and that Punk is a main eventer. Punk then says that it is Labor Day, and some people have taken the day off work. So he is doing the same. Punk leaves. Sheamus grabs the mic and says that Punk has disrespected the crowd by walking. The fans want to see the match. We see Punk backstage, walking. AJ meets him and says he cannot leave. He says to check the contract because he has personal days.. Punk gets in a car and leaves. Striker arrives and asks AJ what she will do about this, and she asks who he is. She then tells Striker to tell Sheamus to stay in the ring, she will find him an opponent.
-Alberto Del Rio now makes his way to the ring.
-Poor Jack Swagger will face Sheamus.
Lock up, to the corner and the ref breaks them up. Off the ropes, shoulder block by Sheamus and a cover gets 2. Sheamus works the arm, to the corner and shoulder blocks by Swagger. Sheamus to the apron, rights to Swagger, up top and a shoulder block and a cover for 2. off the ropes, boot by Swagger, and then a chop block to the knee of Sheamus gets 2 for Swagger. Rights to Sheamus in the corner, but Sheamus back with the boot and the axe handle smash. Shoulder block by Sheamus, misses the knee and Sheamus counters a suplex, but Swagger counters white noise. Vader splash gets 2. Knee lift by Sheamus, and now the Texas Cloverleaf applied. Swagger taps.

-Del Rio is pissed at ringside as Sheamus stares him down. Del Rio hits the ring and they brawl. Rodriguez in and Sheamus tosses him. White noise by Sheamus to Del Rio. Sheamus backs off, looks for the brogue kick and Rodriguez takes the boot for Del Rio, who escapes.
-We get a replay of Rodriguez getting destroyed by the brogue kick.
-Eve makes her way to the ring.
-Layla joins commentary.
Lock up to begin, counters and a trip by Kaitlyn. Cross body off the ropes and a cover for 2. Side headlock by Kaitlyn, off the ropes and Kaitlyn counters a hip toss, and then gets one on Eve. Forearm shots by Eve, mounted rights follow and the ref tries to break it up. He pulls Eve off Kaitlyn, they circle and Eve offers to shake hands. Kaitlyn refuses, and they lock up. Eve works the arm, to the corner and Kaitlyn counters, but then eats a drop toehold. Front facelock by Eve, Layla and Layla bitch on commentary and totally ignore the match. Off the ropes, Eve takes Kaitlyn down and the ref checks on her. Eve shows some fake concern, Kaitlyn is apparently ok and Eve gets a neck breaker and the win.

-Eve checks on Kaitlyn after the match and shakes her hand. She goes to talk with Layla and wants to shake hands. Layla yells at Miz, and then shakes with Eve.
-Swagger walks backstage, and AJ catches up with him. He says he is leaving and taking time off. He is better than this, and he doesn’t know what happened to him. AJ says everyone is leaving and he cannot leave her. He says sorry and bails.
-We need Rocky style training montages with awesome 80s music while Swagger is away.
-Time for more anger management. They have all passed the course, but he is proud of Kane and Bryan. Bryan says he was taught so much, and he did have an anger issue, but he is past it. He will give Kane a Summerlsam rematch anytime he wants. Kane thanks him, and says someday he will accept the challenge, and he will do he best not to eviscerate him. Bryan says it is hard to do that while tapping out. Kane says he could make it so Kane could not leave the room. Harold tries to keep the peace, and everyone bails as Kane and Bryan get angry. The doctor tries to stop them and BLOWS UP WITH ANGER saying that they have not learned anything.
-Cole now says the WWE Universe can vote n the fate of Bryan and Kane. You can vote to have them have a match, to team together, or to hug it out.
-Matt Striker talks to Del Rio about Rodriguez. David Otunga appears, drinking coffee and saying that his client has no comment at this time.
-Jinder Mahal is in the ring.
Goldberg chants right away as Cole discusses the GREAT feud they have had. Mahal on the attack early, Ryback escapes and knees by Mahal. Boot by Ryback, takes Mahal down. Slams Mahal to the corner, boots by Mahal. Second rope shoulder block connects by Mahal for 2. Rights by Mahal, off the ropes and a slam by Ryback. Backdrop follows. Powerbomb by Ryback, and then decapitates Mahal with a clothesline. FINISH IT. Fisherman’s buster finishes it.

-Results of the Bryan-Kane poll next.
-Striker meets with AJ. He asks her about the show falling apart, and what she will do about it. She says that the Cena vs. Del Rio match is a falls count anywhere match.
-Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring. He tries to stay calm as the crowd chants YES at him.
-Kane now follows. Cole announces the results of the poll, which was HUG IT OUT with 55%. They have a ref in the ring to give them hugging instructions. The crowd chants HUG IT OUT. There is more stalling here than a Larry Zbyszko match. We get a chest bump, the ref rules no hug. Bryan hugs Kane, and then yells at Kane for not hugging him back. Kane then hugs him, and apparently they have to hug each other at the same time. That’s why the ref is there folks. They finally hug it out. They also shake hands. They slap each other’s arm next, and then again harder than the time before. Bryan shoves Kane, and Kane then shoves him back. Bryan take a deep breath, they continue to shove and then Bryan slaps Kane. Leg kicks by Bryan and they brawl. Big boot by Kane, and as Kane charges, Bryan low bridges him. Off the apron and an uppercut by Kane. They brawl on the floor, Kane has a chair and nails Bryan in the gut with it. What would Harold think? Chokeslam by Kane, and he then grabs the chair again. He wrap sit around Bryan’s head, goes up top and referees run out to try and stop him. Bryan up, gets the chair and nails Kane, and then runs away.
-Santino walks.
Santino trips up Cesaro, takes him down, grabs the cobra and Aksana distracts him and Santino outs it away. Does the cobra with his bare hand, no effect and Cesaro starts the beat down. Chinlock by Cesaro, Santino crawls for the cobra, but a gut wrench suplex by Cesaro connects. Cesaro stomps on the cobra, and then lands uppercuts to Santino. Back elbows follow, clothesline follows and Santino fights back, gets the cobra and kicks Cesaro to the floor. Cesaro back in, nails Santino with the clothesline, Gotch neutralizer by Cesaro and that is all.

Lock up, off the ropes and a shoulder block by Slater. Ryder battles back, to the corner and as the ref breaks them up, Slater lands a cheap shot. He celebrates, Ryder fights back for a moment, but a neck breaker by Slater gets 2. Elbows by Slater, who then dances a bit and covers Ryder for 2. Slater in control with the chinlock, Ryder tries to fight back, but Slater with boots in the corner. Slater argues with the ref, Ryder fights back and gets a dropkick off the second rope. Forearm in the corner, Slater down, and broski boot by Ryder connects. Slater counters the rough Ryder, off the ropes and Ryder slams him to the mat and lands the rough Ryder for the win.

-Vickie Guerrero is out to discuss her personal issues. She has issues with AJ, and she will not leave the ring until she comes out so she can give her a piece of her mind. She asks for a chair to sit in while she waits. Did she even think about making an appointment?
-Back form commercial and Vickie is still in the ring. She is protesting the fact that AJ put Ziggler’s MITB contract on the line and then last week, AJ slapped her. Vickie says AJ is losing control of the show, and if AJ will not come out here, she will talk with her. She talks to the chair and says she failed to deliver on her promises and that it is time to leave. Is she Clint Eastwood now? AJ now makes her way to the ring, no skipping. AJ says she spoke with the WWE Board of Directors. They have told her that she cannot touch any superstar, manager or anyone else again. She is also supposed to apologize. She is sorry. Vickie taunts her and speaks slowly, and then demands AJ apologizes again, right now. AJ stares her down and then says she is sorry again. Vickie says that it was pathetic, and says to make it mean something this time. AJ apologizes again and Vickie slaps her. AJ looks to attack, but Vickie reminds her that she cannot touch her. Vickie slaps her again, and AJ looks pissed. Vickie laughs and leaves, doing a little skip to mock AJ as she does. AJ tosses down the mic and then the chair. She then starts slamming the chair down and screams. She then tosses the chair up the ramp and continues to scream before breaking down. I know how she feels.

-Cole and Miz discuss Night of Champions.
-We see a TOUT from David Otunga, he threatens legal action against Sheamus on Smackdown.
JIP with Del Rio getting a back breaker for 2. Slam by Del Rio, and another cover gets 2. Chinlock applied by Del Rio, as he is in control of the match. Cena fights to his feet, boot to Del Rio. They trade rights, off the ropes and they clothesline each other. Both men are down, to their feet and Del Rio gets a back stabber for 2. Del Rio lays the boots to Cena, heads up top now and as he leaps in, Cena connects with a dropkick. Shoulder block off the ropes by Cena, proto bomb, five-knuckle shuffle and sets for the AA. Del Rio escapes, to the apron and stun guns Cena off the ropes. To the floor and Del Rio slams Cena to the steps. Double foot stomp by Del Rio on the floor, and then slams him to the barricade. Cena manages to get a shoulder block off of the steps and covers for 2. Cena dismantles the announce table, which allows Del Rio to connect with the enziguri, which gets 2. Del Rio looks for a suplex, counters and Del Rio slams Cena into the steel post. Del Rio grabs a chair, misses Cena, and Cena tosses him into the crowd. Cena decides to move the ring steps around, near the announce table now. Cena now works over Del Rio, and slams him to the barricade. Looks for the AA, picks up Del Rio, takes him to the steps, climbs them and Del Rio escapes. Backdrop suplex through the table by Del Rio. Del Rio covers for 2. Del Rio works over Cena, tosses him into the ring and grabs the mic. Del Rio talks shit to Cena, and says Cena is beneath him. Del Rio then says everyone in the back is beneath him, and that Chicago is beneath him. Del Rio says he will break his arm, goes for the arm bar, countered into the STF by Cena. Del Rio uses the mic to hit Cena and escape. Del Rio charges Cena, misses and flies to the floor. Cena rolls to the floor, they brawl and Del Rio gets a suplex onto the steel ramp. Del Rio covers for 2. They now brawl over by Del Rio’s car, Cena with the advantage and now sees the car. Cena picks up a big speaker, but Del Rio with the leg kick stops that. They brawl backstage now, and Cena tosses Del Rio into the interview area. Del Rio tries to run, counters the arm breaker and gets the AA onto a production box. Punk arrives and attacks Cena, laying him out. Punk then grabs Del Rio and pays him on Cena, and that is good enough for the win.

-Punk then hits a GTS to Cena, using the car instead of his knee. Punk then says, “RESPECT,” and then holds the WWE Title high as he gets in the car to leave. PAUL HEYMAN is driving the car…
