They aired the new Wrestlemania commercial, very long, but anytime we get to see Mae Young…I’M KIDDING…no really…what are you implying?

Recap of Orton Vs. Tomko From RAW. I don’t quite understand where they’re going with his concussion gimmick, but as long as its going somewhere, thats an improvement over most of their latest gimmicks. I’ve found lately, that I’m not hating Tyson Tomko in the ring, he’s no Davey Boy Smith, but if I remember correctly Batista wasn’t exactly jaw-droppingly wonderful when he debuted, or even up until he hurt his arm, so if his match with the Jersey Crew in OVW was any kind of indication, then I think we’ve barely scratched the surface of Tyson Tomko, and we can expect great things. Disagree? Let me know by emailing me at [email protected].

And we’re back. OH MY GOD IT THE MUMMY! O wait, thats just Gene Snitsky with his perpetually bandaged arm and ribs.

The Mummy Vs. The Hurricane

Hurricane ducks under a clothesline, beats him into the corner then tries to get 10 punches but in knocked off after 2. Back body drop and an elbow drop, then throws Hurricane from the ring. PRESS SLAM ON THE BARRICADE! It may not sound all that impressive, but it looked it, from what must have been at least 9 feet up, hitting it right, chest first, good job. Flurry of shots by the Hurricane, tries an irish whip but it is reversed, and Hurricane hits a Tornado DDT off the rope. Hurricane tries a cross body, but Snitsky stumbles, then drop him on his feet and boots him. Snitsky picks him up, and hits a pump handle slam for the pin.

Winner: Everyones favorite mummy (you thought I’d dropped that didn’t you?) Gene Snitsky

I think Snitsky has also come a long way since his debut, he has the size, body, and look to be great, he just need to work on his wrestling a little bit, and he should be ready to graduate from the Sunday Night Heat School of Mediocre Knocks. A little more work with ‘Taker at the training camp, and he should be good.

Recap of Edge Vs. HHH from RaW in JAPAN!
Since I’ve been on about people who impress me to this point, I think its time to talk about someone who doesn’t. Guess who? Thats right, Edge. You can say what you want about his improving, but that won’t change the fact that he is still the sub-par-at-best wrestler he always was, if not more so, since after his surgery he won’t do any spots! Given his character is great, he’s a good heel, but hat will only take you so far! I have no problem with push he’s getting, his build ups, brawls and promos are great, but sooner or later, a feud has to end in a match and thats where Canada’s own Adam Copeland falls short. If he wants the powers that be, to give him a serious push for the title, he needs to step is up. NOW!

Up next is our MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING! It will pit Shelton Benjamin against the Big Valbowski Val Venis! This makes me happy. Why is it that they can only put toghether good shows in other countrys and Madison Square Garden? This past week it has been made very clear that htey have the talent, and booking skills to do it. What gives?

HELLO LADIES! Its our IC Title match on HeAt I feel so honored.

Val Venis Vs. Shelton Benjamin

They lock up, headlock by Venis, Shelton throws him off them gets hit with a shoulder block, then hits one of his own and takes a hip toss. Arm Drag, leg sweep, leg sweep, arm drag arm drap, pin attempts 1, damn this is hard. Lock up, and Benjamin gets pushed to the corner, break, and another lock up, Benjamin returns the favor. Back body drop by Shelton, and another. Val hits a snap clothes line, takes him to the ropes, but gets clotheslined out of the ring.

Now we have a commercial break for me to regain the feeling in my fingers.

We’re back as Val beats down Benjamin. Bionic elbow to the back of the head, and he pounds him. Val Venis locks in a rear naked choke, they’re putting on a clinic! Neck breaker by Venis for a near fall. Benjamin break out, gets a little momentum, and is shut down as Venis grabs a sleeper. Benjamin breaks out, spinning heel kick by Benjamin, who cannot capitalize. Benjamin blocks a shot from Venis and hits a series of chops and clothesline. Benjamin goes up, and hits a flying clothes line 2/3 of the way across the ring! Sit out spine buster by Venis for 2, a fraction of a second aways from a new champ. Benjamin hits the ropes and Venis hits an Arn Anderson spinebuster. He heads up top, and does a Money Shot onto Benjamin’s knees! And Benjamin hits a huge exploder suplex for the win.

Winner: and STILL Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin

Well folks, its been fun but thats all for tonight. For next week study your notes on your favorites, there may be a pop quiz.
